Course Description: Schroth Best Practice was developed by Dr. Hans Rudolf Weiss and builds upon the original Schroth Method. It is a comprehensive approach for the conservative management of spinal deformities, based on current evidence and best practice guidelines. The Schroth Best Practice approach equips clinicians with effective and straight-forward tools that can be applied immediately to their scoliosis practice. Clinicians will learn about scoliosis assessment, and how to establish treatment plans that include key aspects of the Schroth Best Practice approach such as curve pattern specific exercises and scoliosis-specific postures. This course includes two half-days dedicated to reviewing theory, with the remainder of the course focusing on lab-based practice. Practical sessions will allow participants to practice skills with fellow participants, and they will have the opportunities to assess and treat individuals with scoliosis. Please note that due to COVID-restrictions, course size will be limited.
The Schroth Best Practice basic course is open to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and physicians.
